There are so many online projects out on the internet right now and I’ve found a bunch at JeunineTech.com. The first one I am going to register for is Room with a View. Imagine how different a view looks from a student in Florida compared to a student in Oregon!
I’m also looking forward to Bucket Buddies. AFter I dust off the microscope, we’ll have to check out some local pondwater. I wonder where the liveliest pondwater in the US is located? I’ll bet a humid Missouri climate can “grow” some great pondwater! Or can it…we’ll have to find out!

Next, the Elephants of Cameroon looks really fun! You can actually track the geographic location of three elephants in Cameroon over a period of time. The picture above is Oldiri, as he returns to the herd from the project website. Combining the geographical data with Google earth and we’ll always know just where our little pets are roaming far, far away.
Other great projects are The Global Grocery Project. Don’t you wonder what a gallon of milk costs in Thailand? Well, now you don’t have to wonder!
One of the easiest is the The Monster Exchange. Kids describe their monsters and draw them. The partner class reads the descriptions and draws, then everyone exchanges. So, for this project, it’s very important to pay attention to details! If your monster IS a tall, thin, yellow headed, one eyed varmit with green teeth… be sure to describe it that way!
