Greetings Hillsboro Students!
This is a letter from your Traveling Gnome! I visited a country called Belgium with John, Mrs. Bockhorst’s brother. Belgium is a country in Europe, and is the center for a lot of activities and government groups in the European Union.
Most of the time I visited a city called Jezus-Eik, which is a small village close to Brussels. I stayed in a small hotel across from a famous church, the Notre Dame au Bois. This church was built in 1650! The city has just spent several years restoring it and it is quite beautiful.
I also went on a mountain bike trip through a forest called Foret de Soignies. It is one of the largest forests in Belgium.
